About this model
Sizes are typical of a single-level dining car: 82′-0″ inside, 9′-8″ clear width, 4′-3″ from the rail to the floor. Booth bays are 5′-10″ on centers, with 2′-6″ × 3′-2″ tables, a common size for four.
Guests are greeted in the lobby and shown to a booth. Waiters take orders, collect plates at the pantry pass-through and clear the tables. Through passengers use the side corridor along the kitchen.
Kitchen and pantry equipment is drawn as simple blocks to show the layout. The model is illustrative, not a construction drawing.
